Nathan Daniel Hartley (born January 17, 1992) is an American actor. He is best known for his starring role as Wade in Drillbit Taylor.

Early life[]

Hartley was born in Ravenna, Ohio, the son of Michele and Rei Hartley. He has an older sister, Danielle. He attended Lake Elementary School in Stark County, Ohio. He began his career in 1997 at the age of five by performing magic for his family and friends. After several years of success in local theaters, he was encouraged by several local directors and Lake Middle School (Hartville, Ohio) teacher Barb Cockroft, wife of former Cleveland Browns kicker, Don Cockroft, who retired in 2010, at age 13, to pursue his acting career in Hollywood.

Soon after he moved to Los Angeles, he immediately began acting classes and pursuing a professional acting career. His years of performing magic for family and friends paid off when he became accepted as a professional member of the Hollywood Magic Castle's Junior Magician Society.

Career[]

Hartley's professional career began as a guest star on The Bernie Mac Show. His career continued during the summer of 2006 when he played a recurring role on the Nickelodeon series Unfabulous and acted opposite John Malkovich in the 2008 feature film The Great Buck Howard. His first lead role was in a feature film, Drillbit Taylor with Owen Wilson. He also had a role as a member of the LARPing event in Role Models with Paul Rudd and Seann William Scott. He also made a cameo appearance in Fanboys. He has two national commercials airing in 2008 with State Farm Insurance and Time Warner Cable. Hartley made an appearance on an episode of the Disney show, Hannah Montana and had also guest starred on JONAS as Joe's annoying friend Carl. He currently is filming Rita Rocks and Disney XD's Zeke and Luther as recurring roles, Lewis and Ozzie.

Hartley enjoys directing and producing films and hopes to attend USC, majoring in directing and special effects. He has started his own company Prodigy Productions, a production company owned and operated by teens. He currently divides his time between California and Ohio.
